The Sushruta Professorship in Plastic Surgery has been established through the generosity of the Guha family to recognize a distinguished scholar in Plastic Surgery.
Mr. Julian Pribaz, has been awarded the Sushruta Professorship in Plastic Surgery 2025.
Mr. Pribaz is a world class plastic and reconstructive surgeon and will deliver his lecture, titled ‘Surgical Problem Solving with Inspiration and Innovation’ at the ICOPLAST World Congress in the autumn.
Along with this lecture opportunity, Mr. Pribaz will receive The Sushruta Guha Medal to recognize his contributions to his specialty, of which his colleague described as having had a “tremendous impact”, and predicted that Mr. Pribaz will in time “join the list of those who have profoundly changed reconstructive surgery during their lifetime”.
In 2023, Dr. Peter Neligan was presented with the Sushruta Professorship in Plastic surgery.
